Quizzes and Quizlets

As mentioned in several other posts I am following a Python course on Udemy and what started as search for a suitable Python course for my kids turned out to be a Python journey for myself generating new skills and ideas for private projects such as my own ‘quizlet app’ and in a more general quiz application. I have made a couple of computer quizzes and also worked on traditional quiz evenings and always most of the work goes into creating the questions and multiple choice answers. In the Python bootcamp I learned about the Open Trivia Database that takes that part of the work out of your hands. As the name suggests the site hosts a database with all kinds of trivia questions and answers which is programmatically accessible via an API. So instead of inventing and typing in questions and answers you can simply connect programmatically to the database through the API and serve up questions that someone else already entered in the database. I don’t think it is really useful for my specific use case but if you are looking for ideas and questions for an evening of fun with friends it seems to be an easy and lazy way out.
