On day 25 of the 100 Days of Code Python Bootcamp a dataset containing a 2018 census of squirrels in Central Park is used to practice working with Pandas. The data comes from New York Open Data. As the name suggests this is source of freely available data on many subjects in New York. If you look at the catalogue you will find more than 3000 different datasets which you can browse per category. I am always interested to find reliable data sources to back or refute claims people (mostly politicians) make. I haven’t explored this site yet but wanted to keep the reference for future use.
