A Good Day to Die Hard

A Good Day to Die Hard is the last movie in the franchise so far. It came out in 2013 and based on the critics it is a good thing this series has come to an end. It suffers mainly from a lack of a good story and novelty. I had almost written a credible story but that was never a characteristic of the movies with their over the top action and a bullet proof main character that seems to be made out of titanium. In the previous movie McClain’s daughter played an important role in the story, this time it is time for the son to make an entry. After years of estrangement between father and son they connect again when the father goes to Russia where his son is on trial. What follows is McClain double bill with father and son surviving countless bullets and explosions going from Russia to Ukraine killing bad guys along the way. If you thought the previous movies were over the top, think again. The McClains can outrun the bullets from a helicopter gunship and while the building almost collapses from the damage done by the bullets, father and son escape virtually unscathed. Only for the fans of John McClain that can forget this was a Die Hard movie after having seen it.
