Chilli Pepper Harvest and Tasting Grown in the Auk Mini

In a previous post I mentioned that my chilli peppers weren’t growing well and that I discovered on the Auk site some tips which I applied. I pruned away the high branches of all the plants and that really did the trick for the chilli peppers. I have peppers growing by the dozens and have been getting a steady harvest. They are quite spicy as well. They measure only 2cm in length but yesterday I put 2 in a my carrot stew and that made it quite spicy. The mini bell peppers are also growing better and ripening faster compared to before but the number of peppers is limited. So far this plant has not been a success. The cherry tomato plant seems be nearing the end of its life now with a lot less fruit. After the summer holidays it will be time for a fresh start of plants. So far the chilli peppers and basil have been the most rewarding plants to grow. The cherry tomatoes were also good but they really require their own Auk Mini to do them justice. Maybe an idea for the coming spring.
