On our last day in Krk and Croatia we visit Baska at the other end of the island Krk. Although the distance is not great it takes quite a while because of many small roads and speed limits. Baska is another charming small village with some nice medieval sections. The seaside is really crowded with tourists. Looking from high up down at the sea it is clear why : blue sea straight from an tourist brochure, nice waves to have fun in and platforms in the sea to climb onto when you need a short break. We stop at a bakery for some croissants but these turn out to be filled with something not too nice so we end up throwing them away half eaten. After walking through the village 2 times looking for a restaurant recommended by our guide book we finally find it but it is closed. We decide to go to Forza as an alternative. We passed it during our walk and it looked nice with a terrace that gives a nice view from high over the sea. The food is excellent, best food we have eaten so far this vacation. Also one of the more expensive ones so far. While we are having lunch a women at another table gets told by the waiter that she has to where her dress correctly and cannot sit in her bathing suit at the table. A few tables down from us there are other Belgians having lunch. After lunch we slowly walk back to our car for the trip back to our appartment. We charge ones more in Krk to be prepared for the next leg of our journey tomorrow morning.
