During our summer vacation we went to Croatia. On our way to Croatia we made a first stop to sleep at the Premier Inn in Regensburg. It is called the City Center Hotel but the neighbourhood looked more like some kind of business district with very little activity when we arrived. That probably explained the low rate we had to pay for the 2 rooms which were modern and clean. Breakfast in the morning was good and the hotel has an underground parking garage with number plate recognition. If you don’t mind not being in the city centre this hotel is a good deal. As we arrived quite late we went for dinner in the Italian restaurant Meridiano near our hotel. We got there shortly before 9PM and luckily we were allowed to still order dinner. As the temperature was good we were tempted to sit outside after a whole day in the car. The neighbourhood was quiet so dinner outside would not have been disturbed by traffic. In the end we decided to sit inside anyway and this was a good decision as it started to rain half way through our dinner. Staff was friendly and interior atmosphere was cozy. Food quality was a bit of a mix but this was more due to personal tastes than the food itself. We had a nice tajine and the linguini was ok but a bit too creamy to my personal taste. Pizza was good as well. Nothing special but also nothing to complain about. We were happy to stay dry and have some decent food after a long day driving.
