A few weeks ago we went for dinner at La Stanza in Leuven for a last pasta dinner the evening before the half marathon EC on Saturday. La Stanza is a traditional Italian trattoria that make their own pasta. It is well known and typically very busy so if you want to eat there it is best to reserve a table. If you like authentic food then I can recommend the place, the pasta is cooked al dente and will not disintegrate in your mouth because having been overcooked like in many brasseries. The freshly made sauces are varied and original so you can something different from arrabbiata and bolognese although I know they also have arrabbiata on the menu and it is quite good. When we went the inside was packed but we had a table reserved. Still we could still pick to sit inside or outside. As it was still a bit chilly we opted to sit inside. There is a lively atmosphere with people talking and laughing but it makes having a conversation a bit more difficult in case the place is full. Staff is super friendly and attentive. You can come here for a quick meal or to enjoy a relaxing evening out with friends with starters, main course and desert and have a choice of wines to go along with your food.
