Review of Van der Valk Hotel Dordrecht: Comfort and Value

I recently stayed in Van der Valk Hotel Dordrecht and I can recommend it. The location is a bit dull at a giant round about next to the high way but rooms are well isolated so you don’t hear any traffic once inside. It is located a few kilometers from the city center and we took our bicycle into town which was a 20 minute leisurely trip. We had a standard room which was more than big enough for 2. The room had a bathroom with shower and bath and a big window which was a gimmick. Drawback was that in the night the light from a light switch in the bathroom mirror shone into the room. If you are sensitive to that kind of ‘disturbance’ you better bring something to cover your eyes like people use on airplanes. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was the typical buffet with lots of choice so you can always have a filling breakfast to your liking. The room also had a smart tv so we could simply connect to our own Netflix or Apple account and continue watching the series or movie we started watching at home. If you don’t mind the location of the hotel in an office neighbourhood then I can recommend this hotel, you get good value for your money.
