Family-Friendly Lunch Spot: La Folie Greque Review

Yesterday we went for lunch at la folie grecque in Woluwé-St-Pierre. We went there with friends after a hockey match at Orée which is about a kilometre away. The restaurant is located in a street that you will typically find in small towns or villages in Flanders. If someone would drop you there without you knowing where you were, you would never guess you were in Brussels. The interior of the restaurant is very unpretentious, almost like a Belgian pub that also serves food. So you shouldn’t go if the interior or atmosphere is important for you. If you have kids then the garden in the back is probably a plus in case the weather cooperates. Food was good but basic, nothing fancy. There was something for everyone’s liking on the menu, salad, fish, meat, mezzo, vegetarian dishes. Prices were relatively low. Staff was friendly so there was nothing to complain about really. Not a gourmet Greek restaurant but still easily beats any fast food chain in my book.
