Hidden Strike

Watched this movie from 2023 with Jackie Chan and John Cena recently on Netflix. I found it a run of the mill action movie. Not bad but also not great. It lacked a bit of dramatic tension but the typical Jackie Chan slap stick humor works well in combination with John Cena. This was the first movie with John Cena I saw and it was a positive surprise. He has screen presence and was somehow quite funny in a natural way. Besides an actor Cena is also a record holding professional wrestler, regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Guess that means he has had a lot of practice at acting and comedy in the ring. Hidden Strike is a movie to watch only in those bits of time where you have nothing ‘better’ to do.
