The College @ Sittard Hilton

I had dinner with my son @ The College while staying in the Sittard Hilton a few weeks ago. We had arrived quite late at the hotel and had to get up early for our Limburgs Mooiste bike ride the next day so we didn’t bother to go looking for a restaurant in the neighbourhood. And I cannot complain about the decision. Staff was friendly and there was enough choice on the menu to find something to our liking. I had the Seabass with Thai green curry and rice. As the portion was not too large I decided to have Dame Blanche ice cream as dessert. As they had Tripel Karmeliet as draft beer I decided to go for that. All not in line with a long bicycle trip ahead of us the next day but I approached our trip as a mini vacation and not a sporting event. We enjoyed our dinner and had a relaxing evening in a not too crowded restaurant. The interior was a bit too hotel like to have a real restaurant experience but on a warmer we could have sat outside on the terrace which would have added to the vacation feeling. Considering we had a long bike trip ahead of us the next day we weren’t going to complain about the temperature this time.
