SWAT

Went and watched the 2003 SWAT movie with Colin Farrell and Samuel Jackson, Michelle Rodriguez and Jeremy Renner again after seeing SWAT: Under Siege. Unfortunately the star cast doesn’t make it significantly better than the mediocre Under Siege. But it is also not worse. The movie doesn’t start of bad but as the finale unfolds it gets more and more incredible. First Farrell sees a trip wire in a tunnel filled with smoke and then he beats the arch enemy in a fight after he got his hand pierced by a Rambo knife. The movie doesn’t end there, with pierced hand he can still escort a drug lord to a new prison location and on the way back he suits up for another SWAT intervention. Luckily we are spared the undoubtable heroics that will unfold. Partly the movie is better and it at least attempts to tell a story with some character development but towards the end it really derails which spoils the overall experience. Pity.
