PlayStation luck

For a very long time I have been thinking about upgrading my PS3 system. I bought my PS3 when it originally came out because it was almost cheaper to buy a PS3 then to buy a BluRay player at that time. Then came life and I didn’t have a lot of time to play games anymore so I put off upgrading to the PS4. During the covid pandemic the PS5 was launched and the kids had a new PS on the wish list for some time so I figured why not. But the PS5 was hard to come by and quite expensive. While waiting for PS5 availability I explored buying a second hand PS4 but they were also quite expensive compared to the entry model PS5 without a disc player. Then end of 2022 I bought a refurbished PS4 Pro for 350 euro. At least I thought I had bought one because after 3 weeks I got a mail that the system could no longer be delivered. The same day I was just browsing a bit and stumbled across a new PS4 slim with Modern Warfare 2 for 350 euro so I ended up buying this and am probably among the last PS4 buyers as Sony has finally stopped PS4 production I heard. I don’t regret having bought the PS4. Compared to the PS3 the graphics are a lot better and with the PS4 we have access to online game content again. Our son can play with his friends online and chat at the same time. I was hesitant to pay money for a PS4 at first but when I found out that some of the hardware works on PS4 and PS5 I decided to go for it. And with a PS+ subscription there is no need for large investments in discs. The PS4 slim is also compact and doesn’t make a lot of noise so it doesn’t draw attention to its existence which is a plus for some members of the family so even the non game playing members of the family are happy with the PS4 upgrade. The only thing remaining is to find a new owner for our PS3 games.
