Old Club – Keerbergen D1

Last season the young Dames 1 team of Keerbergen Hockey Tigers promoted to the Belgian Nationale 2 league. On September 4th they kicked off their season at Old Club de Liege. The nervousness was visible in their game and in a tense match they finally lost the season opener 3-2. But the game was close and really a draw would have been a more representative result of the game. Unfortunately a couple of open chances were missed and no advantage was taken of the fact that the goalie of Old Club had to be replaced due to an injury in the last quarter. In a way this also nice as no advantage was taken from the misfortune of the goalkeeper. A draw would have been a fairer result but luckily a game doesn’t always go to the best team or else sports would be very boring indeed. In this case we lost and we have no one to ‘blame’ but ourselves.
